More leaked info on the Droid Incredible 2

In something which could be indeed compared to the “secrecy” of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play launch and development, Verizon is having quite a lot of trouble in keeping the launch of the upcoming Droid Incredible 2 under wraps. This was confirmed on several occasions, first of all starting with the company removing the original Droid Incredible from their droid page and with time, with the leaks of pictures with the device as well as a leaked road map which features quite a number of upcoming devices on the carrier.

This time around it was the turn of a leaked internal document to give us more information on the upcoming Droid Incredible 2 over at Verizon. One of the most important aspects to keep in mind, is that we are indeed dealing with a world phone, which would mean that you won’t get only Verizon’s CDMA radio on it, but a GSM radio as well. There will be a front facing 1.3 megapixels camera which will be accompanying the one on the back, which will be an 8 megapixels shooter.

Another feature that intrigued me and I might just write it off as a typo or an error when resizing the leaked document is referring to the 3G mobile hotspot extra, which will set you back $20 for 20GB of traffic. Now I know that Verizon is nice and friendly with Droids, but this is a touch much and until we don’t get any official word from Verizon regarding this, I would write it off rather as $20 for 2 GB.

In any case, moving away from typos, we will be getting a 16 GB micro SD card installed on our new Droid Incredible 2, so that should keep us well out of the issue zone of storage. There’s  no official word form Verizon regarding Droid Incredible 2 ( which basically is HTC Incredible S, with a different processor to support CDMA frequencies ) so we’ll have to wait for a definitive launch date for this one. Stay tuned for more information on the Droid Incredible 2 as it will become available!1
