The updated android 2.2 version was made available for HTC Incredible, in August 2010. The new improved features have increased the applicability of the THC mobile. Verizon has officially announced the intention to update of the HTC Incredible on Android 2.2, on August 26, 2010, date from which the update was also made available. The new Android 2.2, also called Froyo, has brought some changes and upgrades to HTC Incredible smart-phone, as support for Flash 10.1 to let the camera act as a flash-lite, 720p video recording, Adobe Flash Player 10, and the possibility to use the mobile as a 3G hot spot for maximum five devices with WI-Fi technology. Users can now rotate the screen of the HTC Incredible with 270 degrees. Some features liked by critics were the ultra speed 1gHz processor, the new look of the handset, the Amoled display and the interface of the touchscreen.
Updates Android 2.2 has come with some applications that cannot be deleted, and that can run without the intervention of the user. Among these applications we can name: Amazon MP3 applet, Skype mobile, City-ID, My Verizon Mobile, VZ Navigator and an app for stock tracking.
