Samsung has been quite the little busy bee in these past few weeks. Considering the upcoming launch of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the Samsung Galaxy S II hitting the FCC just recently, it seems that they have all the areas covered.
A while back though the company expressed its concerns regarding the launch of the Apple iPad 2 and the fact that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 might be inadequate to deal with the iPad 2, especially considering the aggressive pricing strategy Apple adopted. Despite that, it seems that the Korean manufacturer didn’t really change anything about the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and decided “what the heck, let’s just give it to someone to play with”. And play they did.
Android HD made a hands on video of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 featuring the tablet used in pretty much every single imaginable way throughout a whole day. The tablet sees the streets of Paris, it gets to do some video chat action, it gets to entertain someone while they’re on the toilet while guiding someone else to meeting. Considering the fact that the test covered almost every imaginable angle of the camera it’s great to be able to say that the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is anything but inadequate. If anything, this is real gold right here.
Despite showing off the incredible speed of the tablet, and for those wondering what CPU lies under that very stylish body, it’s the NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor, we also get to see it perform in any real life scenario. Browsing on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 seems incredibly snappy, as well GPS mapping and tons of other goodies as well. Games are rendered easily thanks to the built in graphics processing unit which had no troubles what so ever in maintaining a high frame rate even in more performance killing titles.
Probably one of the most impressive features was actually the camera of the device, which took brilliant looking pictures as well as shot very clear 1080p videos even in poor lighting conditions. And you have to note that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 was doing all of this while being played back on YouTube. I would bet that the pictures look even better once we can get our hands on some pics taken with the Galaxy Tab 10.1’s camera. This was actually something Mobile Review also had to say regarding the Samsung Galaxy S II’s camera which did perform brilliantly as well.
In any case, I won’t keep you up much longer, head over to the link below and check out the video for yourselves. It’s anything but inadequate!
