Today’s phones are almost like miniature computers and because high-performance components have been fitted into their design a problem emerges that has never been an issue for mobile phones, and that’s overheating. Many things can cause an Android phone to overheat, but what’s important is determining exactly the cause and the possible effects of this heating issue. Because Android device manufacturers had some idea about these heating issues, they installed a heat sensor on most of their devices, this sensor announcing the user with a message on the screen if the device is overheated. When the symbol OVHT appear on the top of your screen, you should know that your device is quickly overheating and you should stop doing whatever you were doing. The overheating can be caused by some things like the Wi-Fi or the processor if they are over solicited in a task. Overheating of a device while making long calls is also somewhat normal to a certain point, as many of the manufacturers claim.

The most serious issue emerges when the phone is really overheating and the battery fails to recharge. This means that there is a problem with the battery and it might need replacing. If you notice that your battery gets really hot while charging the phone, immediately remove it from the device. The overheating of the battery is considered a fire hazard as in many cases the battery exploded from an overcharge.

There are also free Android apps that can be downloaded from the Market that will tell you all about your battery. These small applications can tell you if the battery is the cause of the overheating and they will tell you the exact temperatures you are dealing with.  After you have determined the cause of the overheating, make sure to change the phone’s battery or the entire device if necessary as it will surely get permanently damaged at one point if it’s still used.

Android phones are among the best on the smartphone market, being able to easily handle documents, email and image files. But what happens if you want to print one of these files? Can it be done? One of the most popular printing app for Android is Printershare Premium. It costs about 5$ and you can use it to print anything from your phone. The app uses wi-fi networking to detect printers in the area, which can then be used to print contact lists, web pages and pictures. If you are the owner of a certain printer, like a Canon Pixma wireless model, you can use a special app designed only for Canon printers. The Canon Easy PhotoPrint is a free app, which is specially made so you can easily print your photos from your Android phone on your Canon printer.

Roboprint is a 4$ application that can print a wide variety of files on almost any printer type. The special thing about this app is that you can print using printers in your vicinity, but you can also print using printers that are shared through the internet. This means that you can print documents and email on the printer from your office, no matter where you are.

Another free app dedicated to a certain brand of devices is the Brother iPrint&Scan. This allows you to print and scan almost any file that can be found on an Android phone, using the Wi-Fi connection.  If you are looking for an app that can work with a wider range of printers, you can install something like Send2Printer. It costs 5$ but it’s really easy to use and it can handle a large number of printer brands, like Lexmark, HP, Canon and Epson.

Last on our list is a free app called Breezyprint. The good thing about this app is that it doesn’t require you to do any extra settings when you’re trying to print something to a local network printer. You just select the file, then hit the “print” button and wait for the file to print.

T-mobile Android Phone

Good: The T-Mobile G1 comes with a cool keyboard (QUERTY type), it offers 3g, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and of course GPS features. The Android operating system allows excellent integration into Google’s apps and the use of YouTube.

Bad: The cell phone doesn’t have at least a standard jack for headphones and lacks some key software that users would have loved to see on it. Also, because of the design the phone is reported to be somewhat uncomfortable when holding and sometimes difficult to use because of this. Another black dot for the phone is the audio quality which isn’t that terrific and the fact that when you download some apps for it via the Internet they can’t be saved directly to the memory card.

Conclusions: Though the design features are not mind blowing the real beautiful thing behind this cell phone is the Android running it. Thanks to it the smartphone generation become more powerful and personal. The phone is excellent for gadget enthusiasts and not that appreciated among business type individuals.

The T-Mobile G1 compared to the original iPhone offers much more functionality like multimedia messages, an improved phone camera and a new addition, the Google Street View. It offers a reliable performance output along with Bluetooth, video recording with the camera and a cool keyboard. The G1 has a height of 4.6 inches and is 0.6 inches wide. It weighs around 5.6 ounces. Its overall design features make it interesting and weird instead of sexy or glamorous. Compared to the iPhone, the G1 looses badly in overall design. The QUERTY keyboard packed into the phones solid construction is amazing and very pleasant to use. It has a soft touch and users report it to feel somewhat rubberlike, this making it very appreciative and very comfortable to hold and use. Due to its full QWERTY keyboard and big touch screen it’s a perfect phone for all those users out there who are looking for exactly there two things in a phone. The display of the phone is a touch screen type measuring 3.2 inches and outputs a 320×480 resolution. The touch screen is also capacitive, which is really great. After a long series of teasers and images in which we got small glimpses of Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, the manufacturer finally released some images as well as showcased the 8.9 inch Samsung Galaxy Tab. The device is packed full of cool new features and saw its introduction in the companionship of the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Keep on reading for a full hands-on with the device.

Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 8.9 comes in as an attempt of the company to fill the gap between Samsung Galaxy Tab ( the 7 inch one ) and Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. Despite being right in the middle of the line, Galaxy Tab 8.9 comes with the same top of the line specs as its bigger brother, the 10.1 version of Galaxy Tab.

You see only the top of the line at the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9. The dual-core processor offers the punch the device needs and the version of Touchwiz showcased for the platform looks really good, but then again, I do have my issues with manufacturer added UI’s. Galaxy Tab 8.9 comes in measuring 230.9 x 157.8 x 8.6 mm (that’s 9.09 x 6.21 x 0.33 inches ) and will weight only 470 grams ( that’s 1.03 pounds ). Just like the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, Galaxy Tab 8.9 looks very sleek and seems to have quite a lot of horse power under that slim exterior.

All in all the device looks great, although Samsung didn’t bring a functioning model to CTIA so we didn’t get the chance to see it in action, but other than that, the device seems great all in all. Pricing for Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 is set at $469 for the Wi-Fi only 16GB one and $569 for the 32 GB one. Launch is set for the 8th of June. Stay tuned!1
